 | Coach Culbertson is in his 19th year at Martin High School, and this is his 16th season as the Head Baseball Coach. He was born and raised in Arlington, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1978. He attended Paris Junior College for one year before transferring to UT Arlington, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. He has worked at Alvarado, Weatherford, and, for the last 20 years within Arlington ISD. Coach Culbertson and his wife Carol have three children, Kayla, Kristen, and Carly. When asked what coaching baseball at Martin means to him, Coach Culbertson replied, “It presents one of the greatest challenges in high school athletics. Everyone knows who you are and they want a piece of you. My job is to make sure our players are ready to play every game so they can’t have a piece of us.” Since being with Martin, Coach Culbertson has taken the Warriors to the State Playoffs and has been District Coach of the Year 6 times.  | Coach Bounds Coach Bounds was born and raised in Arlington Texas. He graduated from Mansfield High School in 2000. He was drafted out of high school by the Chicago White Sox. Coach Bounds did play one season with the defending junior college World Series champions at Grayson County Junior college. After playing pro baseball he transitioned into coaching. He coached at Oakridge private school and coached for a few select organizations. Coach Bounds attended University of Texas at Arlington where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biology degree. Coach Bounds and his wife, Amanda, have 2 daughters, Kamryn and Karsyn. They also have a two year old son, Harbor. |
